With great expectation, I switched on the TV, namely DY365 last night to hear a bunch of Doctors performing as puja special. The first singer left such a bad taste that , I am still wondering how to react. Dr Prajjwolika Sarma, sang two songs of Luit Konwar Rudra Baruah name Kaar janu poroxot.. and NIxar Xewali xore.... She not only did not have the courtesy to take the song writer and composers name, but she also went to wrongly attribute the first song to Late Keshab Mahanta !! To add insult to injury, the anchor Pranay Bordoloi, commented in a know all attitude that this on of the finest compositions of Keshab Mahanta. I am saddened because Pranay had know Rudra Baruah from his childhood and Dr. Prajjwalika is the niece of Mr. Loknath Goswami, (whose daughter sang Rudra Baruas songs so nicely). This has not only insulted Rudra Barua but also Keshab Mahanta, who, arguably , is the finest lyricist Assam has produced so far. I have the following options now 1. file a suit against DY, Pranay Bardoloi and Prajjwalika for wrong representation of facts and also for unauthorized public performance of my Fathers song with commercial interests. 2. Talk to Manoj Goswami and ask him to initiate action. If I do the first, I ll unwillingly hurt a very dear friend of mine who is Pranays sister and my sons guardian mother at Australia. If I do the second, I shall be demanding a kind of return favour as Mr Manoj Goswami had very recently asked for a very small favour from me. I AM UNDECIDED, BUT PAINED.
