With groggy, droopy eyes, I write to send huge amounts of gratitude for the first-rate people known as the Chicago Dance Community. You came. You danced. You made silly faces. (That almost sounds like a Jason Mraz outtake song.) In short, it was business as usual at West Coast Wednesdays. And in my un-biased opinion, that is the way it should be--a night to forget work, bond with friends over jokes and dance, and...fun. That fun wouldnt have been possible without: - Carlos Garcia - the man lead the novice dancers in some solid basic to get their foundation in place (or cleaned up) and worked the intermediates with tools to tweak their dance to help them improve their chances of placing in contests. Did I mention Carlos has Energizer Bunny-like enthusiasm in his classes? :) - Benny Vonmur - April and I couldnt have gotten the place closed down as quickly as we did without you sacrificing sleep to stay and help tear down equipment. - Michael Thomas - the man who took the two great group shots of our lovely ladies in the west coast swing community. Nice snapping, Mike! - Frank Thomas - a visitor from the Springfield area (Im sure Frank will correct me with the proper location ;) ) who came up to see what the buzz was about regarding WCW. - April Prince - the one DJing on a level the rest of us can just hope to get to. - And the Chicago Dance Community - How I strive each week to find creative ways to show how appreciative I am for the support you give to WCW for almost four years now. No you, no dance. And that sums it up nicely, I think. Much appreciation my fellow dancers: Natalie, Paul, Carmen, Rosa, Rose, Jeff, Pamela, Vita, Diane, Tony, Sarahmaria, Nadia, Laura, Rodney, Dee, Lynzi, Michael, Nancy, Tim, Lance, Bridget, Jason, Oana, Judy, Martita, Abhi, Barbara, Raymond, Kristy, Beth, Monika, Diann, Clayton, Matt, Beverly, Allison, Greg, Brian, Christina, Julie, Rebecca...and the rest of you wacky kids! Have an enjoyable remainder of the week. I hope to see you out at either The Mix this Saturday (https://facebook/events/1532008280358918/) when Erica Berg teaches two workshops, or at WCW next week when the well-received Nancy Tuzzolino returns to teach the novice and intermediate lesson. Take care everyone. Ill catch you on the flip side.
