With high pressure to our north on Thursday, the clockwise NW flow - TopicsExpress

With high pressure to our north on Thursday, the clockwise NW flow around it should give us a rather cool and dry day. Overall, there will be intervals of both sun and clouds, though cloudiness ahead of a developing system over the TN Valley, should begin to overspread the entire area by nightfall. Temperatures will remain quite cool--ranging from the lower to middle 40s area wide. Unsettled weather is quite likely from Friday into a good part of next week. Computer guidance (ECMWF & NWS/WPC is suggesting the POSSIBILITY (for now) of several coastal systems for the early to middle part of next week. What is more, the ECMWF 850mb [forecast guidance] charts are suggesting the atmosphere may very well be cold enough to support some snow across much of the area, particularly during the Tues-Wed. time frame of next week. Too early to say for sure, at least at this time.
