With less than a week to go to the auction, I’m excited!! Clearly we have retained Gayle, Virat and AB who are the core of the team..Now we should look to buy players who will compliment tham and effectively build a team around them.. I’m sure everyone would be happy if we get our hands on Uthappa, who could open with Gayle!! Else we could look to get young players in KL Rahul, Manish Pandey, Mayank Agarwal or even Unmukt Chand. I have really high hopes on Unmukt Chand and think he will be the revelation of this IPL! Now that the top-order is looking organised and solid, we have to concentrate on the bowling department and the lower batting order. So I really think, we need to buy as many all-rounders as we can.. I think Corey Anderson will be very costly, and therefore not worth chasing!! We have to look at players like Yuvraj, Sammy, Albie, Irfan Pathan , Andre Russell or Thisara Perera… These are wonderful players, who are very good with the ball and are the few cleanest hitters of the ball!! Since we already have a great top-order, we need a lower order who can hit sixers at will and the above look very solid! Though many suggest going for Taylor, KP and Maxwell, I disagree.. We need explosive batsmen who can bowl at a good pace and therefore I have limited my choice. Now moving onto the bowlers, I am sure that RCB will use the joker card to retain Vinay Kumar, who has been in good form of late and has done well for us in the past. In chasing the Indian bowlers, my choice would be to unconditionally go after Bhuvaneshwar Kumar and Amit Mishra. We need a good spinner desperately and since accommodating a foreign spinner in the playing 11 can be difficult, I suggest we get the best Indian spinner in the game Amit Mishra!! Iqbal Abdulla also seems a decent spin bowler we could look at closely. Zak might be tough to get, but we must try for him and also Jaydev Undatkar. But Bhuvaneshwar and Mishra are two bowlers we must get at all costs!! Now moving on to the foreign fast bowlers, I think we have to have our eyes set on Tim Southee, McClenaghan, Philander and of course the young Brett Lee!! I think Starc and Johnson might be too costly to buy at the auction, therefore I have limitited my options. So to sum up. Batsmen - Uthappa, Unmukt Chand, Badrinath , Manish Pandey/Agarwal/KL Rahul All-rounders- Yuvraj, Irfan Pathan, Darren Sammy, Albie Morkel, Andre Russell/ T.Perera Bowlers- Vinay, Bhuvaneshwar, Amit Mishra, Zak/Unadkat, Southee, McClenaghan, Vernon Philander, Brett lee!!! What do you think guys… I have made this list, taking into consideration of what we need and how much money we have.. :) ^_^
