With loss of homes people want to help, Do NOT donate yet. During devastation so many people want to help, often areas are inundated with items that can not be used, the best way to support during a disaster is identify the immediate needs and only donate what is required. Dont donate your junk or second hand undies, or furniture. Start collecting items but store them at home until you hear requests. Shoe boxes of love are a great way to donate, they provide the very basic in personal needs along with little gifts, these are the things that will be needed. Gift cards are brilliant allowing food and clothing to be purchased, no storage required and certainly no volunteers required to sort through, please help educate the public to make your contribution count.
