With more snowfall overnight and school closures today, kids and youths will be looking to make the most of the snow. For the most part this will mean harmless fun. However last night there were incidents reported to me at the Springhill Gap, the Grotto, Springhill Estate, Ballycolman, and the Golf links. Cars and drivers were being trapped and pelted with snowballs by large groups of older youths. At least one local taxi firm had to take his cars off the road in the interests of his drivers safety. Folks this is not fun. It is stupid and dangerous. It will lead to property damage, injury, arrests and criminal records. Please keep a check on your children and look out for elderly or infirm neighbours. The snow should be for everyone to enjoy.
