With my older son Daniel we did everything... every year halloween trick or treat, fall festivals.. pumpkin patch the big bday party, the school parties.... you name it I got 20 scrapbooks to prove it. But my special boy Donovan we cant do any of it but I am ok.. I was not for awhile I would break down and cry. But you know what I am ok with it now. We do our own things like Mac and cheese every night lol, Our morning fights to go to school....usually includes my daily beating lol My daily calls or notes from the school... he locks me out of the house, runs through the neighbor hood so he does not have to get on the bus... Stays up all night and day... have to put his socks and shoes on 30 times so they feel right, cut every tag on his shirts, buy only silky feeling pants... its a whole different world in a Autistic childs life but i have accepted it. Love that kid. Tonight he will not leave the house and that is ok with me.
