With no carp overnight a blank looked likely until my luck changed with a coloured area appearing halfway down the lake. Grabbing just one rod I was soon casting out a single Atlantic Heat pop up into the middle of the spot and 10 minutes later I was rewarded with a gorgeous big common. After a few pictures I noticed a second area of disturbance appear to my left so as quick as possible I cleaned the weed off the ESP hinged stiff rig with the same bait on and cast it back out - 5 minutes later a 32lb mirror was in the net! A great winter result. Back home now and looking forward to a couple of days with the family, I hope you all have a great weekend.
