With one of the biggest decisions effecting Downtown and North Hartford let alone taxpayers across the City on the agenda for the City Council tonight, Kerry Provost over on her site Real Hartford summarizes the many questions people still want answered. As Kerri says two camps have emerged, those who find it reasonable to ask questions and expect thorough detailed answers, and those who find critical thinking cringeworthy. The City says its driven by the Rock Cats deadlines,after the relationship with New Britain impeded. Deadlines the City helped create by spending 17 months in secret negotiations for a deal rejected the moment it was made public. This has left little time for anyone to understand the revised deal including city hall as judged by the swiftly changing terms, conditions and financing schemes. As Kerri says its less pro/anti and I agree, this could be a great project. If the Council rubber stamps the proposals tonight and can’t, won’t or doesn’t think this through now, say by getting answers to questions below then unless we roll 7’s every time, everyone will be facing the music later.
