Enemy Jake Gyllenhaal plays Adam Bell and Anthony Claire in this psychological thriller based loosely on the novel O Homem Duplicado (The Duplicated man). It follows a teacher in Toronto who uncovers his actual double and thematically explores the notion that Since the immutable laws of nature insist that something cannot exist in two places at the same time, a man and his double cannot both remain alive: one of the two must vanish for the order of the universe to be respected. It is no unfair disclosure to say that a death is the novels conclusion. Gyllenhaals has really pulled up his britches since the epic failure that was Prince of Persia, having gone on to star in incredible films like Prisoners, End Watch and now Enemy (it doesnt stop there, another movie will be mentioned soon) and honestly, hes becoming a force to be reckoned with.
