With our opening reception this Friday Manifest introduces the final exhibition presentation of its 10th season. Ten years (a decade!) seems like a very long time, while also feeling to us as if it was a blink of an eye. Time really is a trick of the light. Manifest would not have persisted this long, grown, and prospered, without an incredible support base of volunteers, staff, board members, funders, supporting members, eager and creative artists who respect our mission and stand for quality, and a continually engaged public. All four areas of our programming (exhibition, education, publication, and artist support) benefit from so much care and connection. Thanks to a fertile neighborhood into which our exhibit openings blossomed into the Walk on Woodburn, and the fabulous creative culture across greater Cincinnati, Manifest has become what it set out to be–a reliable conduit of integrity and quality in the visual arts between Cincinnati and the world, here and there, and artists to viewers. We thank every one of you (all 5,749) for being our friends here, spreading the word, and caring enough to stay connected. In its 10 seasons Manifest has produced 154 gallery exhibitions and 16 books representing 4,180 works by 1,676 artists from 50 states and 40 different countries. Throughout these projects 156 separate academic institutions have been represented by student artwork. On their own gallery exhibits in Manifests East Walnut Hills location on Woodburn Avenue have included 2,596 works by 1,191 artists from 49 states and 29 countries. Our season 11 schedule, the first of our next decade, will be announced very soon! Thank you again for an incredible ten years.
