With over 200,000 residents lost since 2000, the City of Chicago - TopicsExpress

With over 200,000 residents lost since 2000, the City of Chicago has now tallied its lowest population in 90 years. In some neighborhoods, population has declined by more than 70% since its peak in the 1950s. The Chicago Neighborhoods 2014: Assets, Past Plans and Trends is a research project of @ChiTrust to analyze Chicago’s built environment—@LISCChicago is engaging stakeholders citywide to identify the built, natural and institutional features most important to the urban fabric of every Chicago neighborhood. The information will be compiled into locally informed narratives that put community assets at the center of local capital investment decisions. Our partner neighborhood, West Pullman, is included on the Calumet region of the map. Take this quick and important survey and share widely. ow.ly/DJB32
