With reference to National Conference Spokesperson Junaid Mattu’s statement that the decision by the Supreme Court to commute Devinder Pal Bhullars death sentence into life imprisonment highlighted stark discrimination referring to Afzal Guru case. Just few questions, what had transpired in the meeting between Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at North Block on January 30, some 10 days before Guru was executed. Had Shinde confided Omar and why the latter didn’t make a fuss and put his foot down? On January 8 evening, why Shinde on phone told Omar, “Jo Baat Us Din Hoi Thi, Woh Kal Ho Raha Hai. Take care?
