With respect, Robin Williams is dead. I suggest learning something about mental illness and addiction and reaching out to someone in your community and helping them. None of this no recovery houses in my neighbourhood, no looking down on people in Vancouvers Downtown Eastside as junkies who dont care about themselves, no walking past the crazy dude on the street and feeling sorry for them and going on with your life. Reach out. Buy a sandwich, volunteer at a shelter or food kitchen. Dont just wring your hands and and say how sad you are. Thats just self-absorbed behaviour. Poor you. I have depression and I am an addict in recovery. I was suicidal much of last summer and early this year. I got help because I was encouraged to seek it and did so. And there are plenty of us - Robin Williams included. Be part of the solution.
