With respect to the portion of Scripture referred to, which is found in Luke 17:34 and Matthew 24:40 actually refers not to the Rapture of the Church , because if so, this would suggest that for every two people one will be saved. That 50% will be saved is not what the Bible shows . A proper biblical portion to assert my opinion is found in Matthew 22:14, where the Lord Jesus Christ tells us that many are called , but few are chosen. On the contrary , to which Luke 17:34 refers to is how terrible are the judgments of the Great Tribulation, just before the Second Coming of Christ, and with us, we are raptured at the beginning of the Great Tribulation. Of the six billion people on earth , of two, one will die because of plagues, wars , earthquakes , famines , and other disasters that occur. Lets read the passage to which we refer : Remember Lots wife . Whosoever shall seek to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses it will save it . I tell you, in that night there shall be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other left . two women will be grinding together: the one shall be taken and the other left. shall two be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. AMEN . Luke 17 : 32-35
