With sadness the Canadian Athletic Therapists Association has learned of the passing of Mr. Gord Mackie, a founding member of the CATA. Mr. Mackie was 92, and died peacefully on April 27, 2014. We owe much of our existence to Mr. Mackie. One of a select few, he was a founding member of the CATA and sought to unite ATs from football and other areas for the improvement of the profession. His Hall of Fame biography can be found at ow.ly/3k0eIe and clearly shows his tremendous commitment to the profession. The family has arranged for a private ceremony in Mr. Mackie’s hometown of Winnipeg.
