With sending you the latest photos of my kittens, I want to give you a little update about my darling *M*I*L*A*N* too. Milan was a homeless dog when I met her in October 2013. Most likely put out a car on the beach, like all dogs. It was love at first side, from us both. I took 2 months to think about adopting her, and/or give any owner the possibility to take her back. From the day we met, Milan slept on my doorstep, but I did not let her in. Finally, on Boxing Day (second X-mas Day) I got her in the house, adopted her. Everything I did or decided about Milan, I had checked and double checked, if I did the right thing according to Greek Law. And I did. Two months later I had her chipped, in April I had her neutered. According to the Greek Law, Milan was mine. And of course, no one turned up in the months following October when I first met her, and February, when I had her chipped. A couple of weeks ago, Milan suddenly dissapeared. Gone. I placed a message and photo on Face Book, and withing 10 minutes, I had an answer. Milan was with the neighbors, 25 meter away from me. There came a ,,sad,, story, that they had her in August 2013, and took care for her. I told the lady, I am on my way with her leach now, and I take her home. And so was Milan home again. (Milan escapes a lot from the house, when I open the door, for instance, or she want to play outside. If I dont let her, she starts barking loudly, which I dont want for my neighbors. One of the neighbor dogs barks already 3 years, so, I know how annoying that is. For health reasons I cant walk her around the clock) Ten days ago, Milan dissapeared again. I contacted the neighbors. Yes, Milan was with them, and the neighbor boy send me a photo of Milan !!!!!!! I went again to their place, to collect Milan, but they had just put her on the street like that. Now, the neighbor tells the following story to a friend of mine: Milan was their dog since August 2013. But her little boy wrote me here on face book :we FOUND Milan in our garden in August 2013. Thats a difference. I have asked over and over why they did not chip & neutered her? They had from August 2013 until X-mas 2013 the change to adopt her. Everyone in this street knew that Milan was adopted by me, and all were happy for Milan and for me. And now its suddenly ,,their,, dog ! A very cheap way to get yourself a dog: let someone pay for the expenses, and take the dog. To go to the police does not make any sense, they dont bother about homeless dogs. A friend told me:stop bothering, and concentrate on your health ! Of course I bother about my darling, I wake up every night, and listen if I hear her near the front door. Get on the Terrace, and see if shes around. Nothing. But I see and hear her now and again in daytime, so, she is alive. I dearly hope that Milan comes back to us, when its winter time, when its cold. Milan is always in the house with me, but with these people she has to sleep outside, on the veranda. One practical thing bothers me a lot: when Milan causes an accident, she is ,,my,, dog, my name is on her chip.........I am heartbroken.
