With so many in the public eye recently dying, it reminds me how fleeting this life is. You realize we are in essence only visiting this planet. And in my short time on this earth, I have seen so many people who have placed material things and personal success far ahead of what really matters. I have seen, and also experienced, many who rise to where they are on the backs of others efforts and talents without even acknowledging those who have helped them get to where they are. They have used people, abused people, and spit them out.They have sacrificed personal relationships for their own selfish gain. We have truly become a society comprised of people who think it is more about themselves and what gets them ahead. They are self centered, self absorbed and more concerned with their own needs and less concerned with the needs of others. And Ive seen some even use the guise of Christianity while doing it. But like I said, we have only so much time on this earth and I choose not to be bitter, but do what is right. Whether it gets me ahead or not. Thank you to the friends I have and continue to have that have stuck by me and supported me, and vise versa, through thick and thin. Hugs! I am reminded of this scripture Matthew 6:19-21 that says “Don’t store up treasures here on earth where they can erode away or may be stolen. Store them in heaven where they will never lose their value and are safe from thieves. If your profits are in heaven, your heart will be there too.
