With special thanks to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Society of Edmonton and the Mission Ridge Animal Hospital, Needles was released back to his home today. It took him about 10 minutes to decide to wander off after the cage was opened. He walked towards me, sniffed (which is very cute because their nose moves a great deal), wandered around to some of his previously marked branches, and then sauntered off into the woods! Hope the little guy makes it! I hope if I do see him again he scampers off in the opposite direction!
