With such a barrage of anti-semitic posts that fail to say anything critical of the terrorist group Hamas, I wonder if some folk equally value the lives of those who are being beheaded, raped and murdered, just because they are Christians (by ISIS in Mosul, Iraq)? Only today it was announced that they are carrying out FGM (Female Genital Mutilation). As awful as the situation in Gaza is, where is the commitment to our outcry for the kidnapping and rape of girls in Nigeria, the 1000s dying each week in Syria, the nearly one million Christians in horrific concentration camps in North Korea, and the list goes on. Where is our moral outrage against the daily crucifixion of Christians and the slaughter of men, women and children being blown up in the streets of Iraq and Afghanistan each day? If we start commenting on other equally worthy, if not even more horrific and tragic situations, then maybe, just maybe people will think the constant flow of posts about Gaza arent infact, anti-semitic, anti-Israel, Jew hating posts. For the record, Israel has a lot to answer for, but so do Hamas and for that matter, every nation who have ever been involved in the horror that is, war. Of course we should highlight human rights abuses and especially war crimes, but let us use the same measuring rod with every country and not merely single out one nation because weve been caught up in the ground swell of public opinion, Ill-judged, though it may sometimes be.
