With termcards already pidged we just wanted to mention that this is the launch week of PemWomen@30! The launch event takes place tomorrow evening and it would be fantastic to see as many of you there as possible. Full details below, poster attached. In 1984 the first women students arrived at Pembroke College. The College is marking this anniversary with a number of events throughout the 2014-2015 academic year. Fellows, staff and students will all be involved in organising talks, displays, dinners and more. Our launch week has arrived and in particular, we draw your attention to the following: Tuesday 21st October Photograph, Bowling Green, 1.15pm All current Pembroke members – both women and men – are invited to join us for a group photograph. Assuming good weather, we invite all Fellows, graduate and undergraduate students to congregate on the Bowling Green at 1.15pm **Launch event** ‘How many long mirrors?’: Reflecting on the arrival of women at Pembroke Old Library, 5.30–8pm Join us for an informal panel discussion with Fellows and students who remember October 1984 first hand to discuss the events leading up to the arrival of women students at Pembroke College. The talk will be followed by (free) wine and light refreshments. ** ** From Tuesday 21st October A creative art installation in the College Hall will explore the arrival of women at Pembroke. Wednesday 22nd October Talk: ‘Is menstruation healthy?’, Old Library, 6–7.30pm Friday 24th October SolidariTEA discussion, New Common Room, 7-9pm Sunday 26th October Historic walking tour of Pembroke College, Porters’ Lodge, 11am Sunday 26th October Screening: Porterhouse Blue, Graduate Parlour, 4pm
