With the Chief semi-retiring this week and the Gillmor event, it occurred to me that over the years a lot of people who labored at statehouse for 30 plus years never really got the recognition they deserve (No Im not talking about me I got more than I deserved) because they quietly did their job in a professional manner. I would include a number of legislators in this category along with lobbyist and government workers and yes even the media. So I ask all my facebook friends to single out someone that was important to them in their career. I think Ive done that but I will single out the person that helped get me my first job in lobbying, Gary Koch, a quiet, unassuming fellow who needs to be honored.
