With the RSI-CMA conference complete, associate editor David Lassen used this afternoon in Montreal to jump on a AMT commuter train to Dorval, where the CN and CP mainlines are just yards apart. Quite a show, with more than 20 trains in about a four-hour period. Here are a couple of shots: In the first, a CP train rumbles through the Dorval commuter station, while a CN train approaches at left. In the second, VIA train No. 67 from Montreal approaches the Dorval station as No. 52, originating in Fallowfield, Ont., pulls out.
