With the closing of the Venice Inn, the question that has been coming up is Piccolos next. We are about to celebrate our 80th year in the restaurant business, and left up to us we would continue our proud family tradition of serving the people of Omaha. Without your continued support and patronage the answer to the question could possibly be yes. When family restaurants like ours close people are surprised and saddened by it and ask why? The answer is simple. Its up to you the public to continue your support of the established family restaurants that have fed the people of Omaha for generations. The fate of our restaurant and the remaining few original family owned and operated restaurants is not in our hands, but in yours. So when going out to eat, please consider the small, family owned establishments over the big corporately owned chains. The money you spend stays in Omaha to support the local people, and keep the timeless tradition of the small, multi generational family business alive.
