With the confirmation of American R&B and pop singer-songwriter SMOKEY ROBINSON attending on FRIDAY 29 AUGUST, the line-up for Curacao North Sea Jazz Festival 2014 is complete! Smokey Robinson, along with founder Berry Gordy, is known as the main representative of MOTOWN. In his career as a solo artist and as a member of The Miracles, he scored seventy hits in the Billboard Hot 100. With The Miracles, Robinson scored two U.S. number 1 hits: ‘The Tears Of A Clown’ and ‘Love Machine, Part 1.’ As a solo artist, Robinson scored hits such as ‘Cruisin’, ‘Being With You,’ and ‘Just To See Her.’ In addition, Robinson wrote numerous hits for other artists, such as ‘My Girl’, which became one of the most-covered songs in the last 50 years.
