With the exception rain and clouds, this week has been rather uneventful. On the job front.. Ive had a few bites, a little interest here and there but nothing definite yet so Im still looking. Whats been happening usually is I dont get the job or it just doesnt work out for one reason or another. Im trying not to be too picky, but I also dont wanna end up in a bad situation and hate my job or be unhappy in 6 months. As I know, and several folks have told me.. I dont wanna take the first job.. the right one will come along. When its a job thats meant to be for me, Ill know it. I will make this clear....Im willing to relocate anywhere, I mean it.....try me! I dont care how rural it is and with winter coming up, I dont care how cold it is. I like a new place, a new challenge and a new adventure. Im looking for an on air/production/website & social media type job in a small town/small market somewhere. Format and air shift time slot arent terribly important to me. I know what makes GOOD, LOCAL radio and I know how to connect with my listeners! (Seriously, I do.. just ask some of my former listeners why they listened and why they miss me now.. Ill give you their names!) Ive got a resume/references along with airchecks & production demos I can send along. Send me an email to walkerbroadcasting@gmail and Ill zip my stuff off to you ASAP. Im a little frustrated about the whole job search thing, I knew Id be facing this.. but Im also not nervous at the same time. Im excited about where this next adventure in radio will take me.. I have NO idea where I could end up next...... I look at it as fun in some respects, the job hunt and the mystery of where I could go next. Hey, I gotta remain in good spirits and find a positive way of looking at this!!
