With the final tour date for this month tonight (yes its now Friday!) Im feeling all sentimental. To think this set up of the band has only been around for a few months and see how far weve come reminds me I couldnt have done this alone and that we have had so many odd and funny experiences playing music and I would like to share a few: - Noah and I playing at The City Wall in Rochester and trying to hold a conversation with some poor old man and neither of us could hear each other- he simply said nice one mate to anything we said. - Busking in Canterbury and being approached by so many people- the group of students who sang Hallelujah with us, The Three Tuns to play at their Ale Festival, the fiddle and flute player who we did a couple of songs with etc. - Busking in Whitstable and getting a ridiculously large amount of busking money. - Busking in Rochester and being approached by a guy who wanted us to play at his church- who then proceeded to give us an example of soul music, an old lady who lent s her dog and a group of tourists who asked if we could play 16th century music. - Performing Under Siege and being stormed afterwards by a load of people wanting to join our band! - Playing at Barnaby Rudge to what was initially no people...and then a lot of very drunk people! - Being shown some guys ass whilst performing live on Platform 5 Radio- the guy then went on to back flip into one of our mic stands. - Marc Carey presenting the UYC Show on DCR FM and constantly not being able to understand me when I mention the band keys player or pianist and mistaking it for geese or something else ;P - Not to mention all the awesome crowds who have supported us on the tour so far and at our other gigs such as the Faversham Nautical Festival as well as busking all over the place! So many great stories- too many to tell, however a little notebook is being kept of the events on the tour which should make for interesting reading! At this point I would like to give a huge thank you to Noah Haines who has stuck with me from the beginning and Abeeran Ranjan also, Anthony Greenwell our brilliant bassist and Miles Eason on lead guitar. A big thank you to previous members- Zak Schulze for being our session guitarist on occasion (who will be appearing on tour also), Sam Wildes for doing the same and Samm Anga and Keelan Carew for helping out on keys when needed. Big thanks to TTL and Dan Wise for having s at Daryll Sessions recordings and at Under Siege Concert, Mark Cridland for promotion on Cantor Elite, James Vince for having us on Live in The Living Room, Colin O Reilly for having us on Platform 5 Radio, all the venues for having us and booking us again, Zak Warren, Charlotte Rose Ellis, Men Amongst Kings, Camilo Musse and all the guest acts on the tour for working with us- especially excited to be collaboration with Sasha McVeigh too and BBC Radio Kent! A huge thank you of course to Keith our technician and Marc Carey who have both been incredible help so far!!! If Ive missed anyone I apologize ;D Most of all though thank you to those of you who actually read this, who liked our page, who come to our gigs, designed some artwork for us, subscribed on YouTube and just generally give a shit about what we do and show your support- you have been invaluable in helping us so far...and its only just beginning! Here is a song thats carried us since the beginning in 2012: m.youtube/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=70yoOz9MTJgeel See you on tour, N.O.W X
