With the flipping of the calendar into the fall period we thought - TopicsExpress

With the flipping of the calendar into the fall period we thought it might be an excellent time to share some news. Everyone has asked us about the damages with the June floods. Well, the one item we were all concerned about was the bridge, and I am happy to report it survived without any damage. Our access road did receive some damage as did the culverts on our creek between the back and far sides and some earth slumps on open slopes. Repairs commenced just a week after the floods and we are well on our way to complete reparation. With the damage we decided to “pull in our horns” and not work toward having a hybrid operation of ski lifts and cat skiing this winter. One thing we chose to do is complete the work on the bridge and have it certified for public travel. We are now discussing the terms of it opening with the Government of Alberta We have had a crew doing silvaculture most of the summer opening up more terrain. Last winter our cat skiing operated at 102% utilization. Steve, our booking guy informs us that we turned substantially more potential bookings. With this demand and the assurances we have as we grow our business we feel it is prudent to open up the calendar for more booking dates as March was already 70% booked. We will have more exciting news as the autumn progresses, but will save it until it is confirmed. Thanks, and we will see you soon. The Kpow Cat Skiing crew.
