With the midterm election right around the corner (Nov. 4th 2014), I want to encourage you to vote. I know many are frustrated with President Obama’s delay, but not voting is not the answer. It takes away our power and gives it to those who are against fair immigration policies. We must join together to create a brighter future for our community and VOTE. To register in most states, you must be all of the below: US Citizen Resident of your respective state 18 years or older on Election Day Not in prison Not found by a court to be mentally incompetent For more information about your particular state, check out: ncsl.org/research/elections-and-campaigns/voter-id.aspx For first time voters, some form of identification is needed. This can be a “current and valid photo ID” or a “copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck or other government document that shows the name and address of the voter”.
