With the news of WCC CEO Kevin Lavery’s annual plan being rejected because of the Council’s wish to fund pet projects, this might be the right time to remind supporters that, in 2010, my mayoral campaign was the most effective in terms of dollars spent per vote. I practised, and continue to practise, what I preach about working more smartly with the funds we have, not about spending up large with ratepayers’ money. My campaign team, meanwhile, is made up of people from the left and the right, unified by our shared belief in #Wellington.
