With the passing of Robin Williams in that fashion, and I have said this before, one of the biggest problems our society faces is the brushing off of mental health issues and the stigma that they carry with them. You never know what someone is going through. You never know what someones story may be. You never know what is going on in someones head. Because of the stigma of mental health issues, most people keep things to themselves because they are afraid or too embarrassed to tell anyone. Or they dont know who they can trust to tell in fear that it will end up everywhere and them being made fun of, or being blasted all over social media. They could be ACTING happy on the outside to everyone around them, but dealing with issues that are affecting and destroying their everyday lives and slowly killing them inside. And you would NEVER know. You just never know what someones breaking point might be. And it does not discriminate. Not by color. Not by race. Not by income. Not by gender. Not by age. Not by status. Not by type of job. Not by wealth. Whether it is depression, anxiety, bi polar, schizophrenia or any other personality disorders, to addiction of any kind, to suicidal thoughts, these issues are pushed under the rug way too often. If you have never had these type of issues, then you cannot judge what it is like. And for the people who are going through these things, PLEASE REACH OUT! There are people who will listen and not judge and will try and help. There is always someone willing to help. They may have even been through some of these things as well and can hep you get through it or give you proper perspective and insight. We all must recognize that mental health issues are a major problem and we need to raise awareness. One day I would like to help with the Mental Health Awareness in this nation. It is something that is very close to me personally. Maybe that one day should start now... Please share this. You never know who it may reach. Thank you for reading this. #RIPRobinWilliams
