With the passing of my grandfather yesterday morning Id like to just take a few lines to honor his life. My grandfather was an honest, hard working man. He lived a full life, one that most men would only dream of. He immigrated from Denmark as a young boy, he served in the Navy during WW2, lived in Hollywood where he had a hand in making a movie. Travelled, was married for over 50 years to my grandmother who passed two years ago, worked at General Motors for 35 years as a tool and die maker. He had a thirst for knowledge and always taught me to strive to learn new skills and information. He was collector of anything and everything. He was my hero and like a father to me, I spent the first few years of my life with him and he had a profound influence on my life. I owe my work ethic, my morals and my passion for learning to him. He always gave and was never selfish, he loved unconditionally and had an amazing sense of humour. He wrote poetry, short stories and songs. I will always hold him in my heart and mind. Farewell until we walk together again grandpa.
