With the recent Mas news, I seriously hope the plan will not backfire on them. Lets see how many consumers will end up purchasing unsuitable policies or even making use of agents to review for them but end up buying the policy by themselves. Buying a policy is a long term commitment and if consumers were to end up committing to something based on their limited knowledge just to save that few bucks?... Lets see. While on the other hand, agents sat through numerous exams and trainings in order to effectively introduce financial products according to clients financials situation and needs, some even spend their own money to upgrade themselves to serve their clients better, and often taking the extra mile to be there for their clients. I understand that all organisations have black sheeps who tarnished the image of the industry, but im nt including them for now in my post. I would just like to highlight those agents, agents around us, who have been meeting up with us and had gone thru proper planning and reviews with us. Yet because of this news, the client immediately undermines all the effort that the agents have invested as they now could adopt the self-purchasing policy way Step into an agent shoes and think about this How can we expect agents to give their 100% when now all they fear is whether consumers are making use of their knowledge and time?
