With the rise of fundamentalism and extremism in the world civilians become more and more the target of the fundamentalists and the extremists in terms of political and physical threats. Most of us want to live and live let live...to get up in the morning with our families, work for an honest living and recreate when we can. Most of us are decent loving people who want to leave the world a little better than we found it. Yet we are bombarded by extremists with absolute truths and strong dominating control needs, looking out for their best interests and not ours. If they cant shame you or guilt you into their domain, they sometimes resort to violence. As we have learned over the ages, we have few ways of escaping their attempts. But escape and neutralize we must, for these extremists seduce with fear, false prophets...sometimes a pretense of love and caring. But like the cruel pimps of the human trafficking field, they seek to enslave your mind and thinking. They may seem cool and caring at first, but its all about them and not about you or others, despite what they say. Extremists pray upon all of us and they must be seen for what they are, whether from the extreme right and now the extreme left, they are equally toxic and not much different from others. Try just to disagree with them once and they fly into rages of abuse. It doesnt take much to scratch an extremists surface. Dont give your intellect and self to those who would abuse you and others to serve their own narcissistic needs. Good luck. Its a jungle out there.
