With the six year flood anniversary soon approaching, many reflect back on that frightful day. Citizens of the Wabash Valley awoke on June 7th to find a horrific mess. Many people lost their personal belongings, keepsakes, pets, vehicles, and even houses that day. While many were trying to pick up the pieces of what was left, the Wabash Valley Community Foundation focused their efforts on helping the community. Within a matter of hours after the rain had subsided, the Community Foundation awarded a grant of $50,000 to the Wabash Valley Red Cross in order to help the community start picking up the pieces and regain some sort of normalcy.
