With two months of intense training in bus safety, customer care and operations protocols behind them, these proud graduates of the MTA Bus Operator Training Program are ready to roll. It takes more than just “getting through” the program to make it as an MTA bus operator, though. Applicants are screened for their attention to safety of course, but it takes a whole range of skills to be considered a successful graduate. These include an aptitude for interacting well with others, patience under duress and dedication to climbing the ladder of success. We wish all our graduates well on their path with MTA, which, as one graduate described it, is “not just a job – it’s a career.” Welcome to the MTA!
