With yet another mill closing in Maine, citing an inability to be - TopicsExpress

With yet another mill closing in Maine, citing an inability to be profitable, I do have to ask: what has Mike Michaud done in his 12 years in Congress to help these mills survive? How has he helped lower their labor costs? Lowered their compliance costs? Lowered their tax burden? Honestly, I really do hate to make it political, but he has wrapped himself in the cloak of being a mill worker his entire career, and claims to speak and work for them, and yet mill after mill after mill is in distress, and closing. What has Congressman Michaud done to make this less likely to happen, and even more importantly, what is his plan to stop this from happening if he became governor? It is a critical question, because his entire agenda is built around things that would increase the burden of regulations on businesses, increase energy costs, increase (dramatically) the price of labor, and increase taxes. How is this man, the mill worker, going to be an advocate for this industry? I submit to you that he has not been an advocate, and he will never be one, because he is serving the wrong masters.
