Within the church body is where discipleship happens but outside the church body is where evangelism happens. At church, we gather each week to worship God together and remember what He has done. We do this for encouragement and growth. During the rest of the week though, we are surrounded by hurting people. People who desperately need the hope that we have and may not even know it. See, many who need Jesus aren’t sitting inside the church waiting to be talked to. But they are sitting in the cubicle next to you at the office. They live next door to you. They are shopping next to you at the grocery store. We know Jesus hung out at the temple. But the truth is, He didn’t wait for the lost to meet Him there. He went out of His way to talk to the woman at the well. To heal the lame man at the pool. To have dinner with a tax collector. He went outside the church walls to reach the lost and so should we. ~Hanna Wahlbrink
