Without Gods word, there is no conviction. Thus no repentance. Thus no transformation from darkness and death to life. Without restoration, were individually and collectively headed for hell on earth and damnation after this life. We Americans have twisted freedom to live the best way, into freedom to live any which way we please. But without connection to Gods words, we are subject to being deceived and self-deceived. Disconnected, we then fall into our own basic drives and ego justifications as to how we want to live. Putting our wants on the throne of our lives, we are setup to be manipulated by, not just our own flesh, but the worlds system of economic and political promises, and by the devils expertize to make death look attractive and desirable. Thus by pursuing what appears positive to us on the surface, but not referencing God and His Wisdom, we foolishly destroy our own life and those around us as we slide into hell. Your Maker knows best. He does not want a repressive religion or politician or any other manipulative structure to mess with your REAL freedom in Him. He wants connection - harmonious intimacy - with Himself. Only then are you free - free to enjoy fullness in Him so you can overflow and enjoy being a blessing to others as well.
