Without a doubt the greatest honor Ive had in my time as a musician was when Argyle Goolsby invited me to play guitar for his first live show as a solo artist. It all happened pretty damn fast. Before I knew it, I was in front of a packed crowd playing My Dying Bride followed by Lets Go to the Cemetery with Gools, Joe, JT and Andrew Stripes Winter. For a fan who loves Blitzkid like I do...it was a genuinely surreal moment. Somehow, I had managed to come full circle, so to speak, and it blew my mind. A die hard fan on stage, playing these classic songs with dudes Ive looked up to since I first discovered horror rock. Meant more to me than I could say. I remember listening to the recordings of those songs in high school and hating the world...other kids had their shitty wannabe metalcore bands and their pop hip hop...but I didnt give a shit. Because I had my Blitzkid albums and whenever I turned their music on...it just felt like Autumn. The sound of this video is blown-out, but the video isnt bad. I hear that Ghouls Night Out Fest is working hard on getting the DVD of the concert completed. Cant wait to see our set and everyone elses too! Last years festival was really something special, across the board.
