Without going into detail about standardized performance NAEP and NeSA educational data, here are some highlights on Nebraskas overall educational report card. We rank 39th out of 50 states according to NAEP (National Assessment of Educational Progress). We get a big fat F in Parental Options and Technology. 8% of our African Americans are proficient in math (the national norm is 14%). We have one of the highest cost-per-student expenditures in the country ($12,486 per pupil w COLA), with one of the worst cost v. educational performance correlation scores in the U.S. But hey, our teacher pension is one of the best-funded in the country at 91%. We can do better Nebraska.
