Without the cross of Christ, forgiveness and justice cannot coexist. We would be hopeless and our confession of sin could only bring a just verdict: guilty. But anyone and everyone who accepts the offer of Gods blessed stand-in, Jesus Christ, instantaneously have justice served for every sin they commit and find pardon for every sin they confess. When we confess our sin He is bound by love to forgive us our sin because of the cross! (1 John 1:9) He will never change. His character is spotless. He made a promise He will never break no matter what the depth of sin we may confess. His faithfulness is not out of duty because nothing can force Gods hand. His faithfulness is a binding covenant of choice because of His infinite, amazing LOVE for us. When you receive His love and believe His promises in your innermost being, you are truly FREE TO LIVE and FREE TO LOVE! I thank Jesus for the Cross today.
