Without the risk of failure and criticism we would all take more chances to do things we believe in. It is a sad state of affairs we have found ourselves in regarding wildlife education programs, no doubt. It takes a brave or stupid person to believe that they can bridge education with wildlife education programs. It takes a brave or stupid person to believe that they are capable of this task without a community backlash. I do not believe Shawn is stupid, I find him willing to participate in the dialogue of the format in an effort to pull the reigns closer to what we need to be seeing. His absence would have assuredly permitted a more maligned narrative. I believe our response to this situation will have no affect on Discovery, AP, or other networks. Instead we will find ourselves with less and less people from inside the herpetocultural belt way willing to engage. For that, we all lose. Save your knee her reaction for not swallowing the party line for another thread. I seriously dont care to see another whiny diatribe about how we are all doomed and sold out.
