Without warning yesterday, I realised Etisalat had zapped - TopicsExpress

Without warning yesterday, I realised Etisalat had zapped somewhere between N1,400 and N1,600 of my call credit, I wasnt sure exactly how much. At their Friendship Centre at The Palms where Id gone to lodge a complaint, the Customer Service lady goes, because I didnt deactivate the auto-renew feature after the one (very terrible) month I had subscribed for BlackBerry Internet Service on the line more than six months ago, it so happened that some stars in the East aligned, and another renewal period coincided with a time I had up to N1,500 on the SIM. For that reason, they simply auto-renewed BIS on a line that had been in one tiny, not-smartphone for as long as I can remember. And true to her words, upon dialling a code, there it was... All 3072MB of data, valid till 01/01/15! I couldnt even find it in me to be angry. It was like loading 3GB of data on a Nokia 3310. Where I got pissed was when, as a solution, the lady said she would help me deactivate the auto-renew thing, Im like My N1,500 airtime, nko? and she said nothing could be done about that. Story for the gods! When dem see as é dey go, it took the intervention of some dude from the backroom offices to quiet me down, after which they told me theyd done whomever an email, and that they would retrieve the data from my line and credit my account with N1,500 all within 24 hours. I was still with them by this time yesterday, and as I type, not only has my airtime been returned, my two bonus accounts have been credited with N1,500 and N150 respectively, plus a call from one nice-sounding Customer Service personnel thanking me for using Etisalat, and wishing me a wonderful day. ...exactly what Im having with my airtime-laden phone. It pays to make noise sometimes.
