Without wise leadership, a nation falls; with many counselors, there is safety.” Proverbs 11:14 (New Living Translation) Many times when debating the quality of those leading our nation, we focus on such things as policy, political views, and even morality; when in reality the greatest need regarding our national leadership is wisdom. The evidence that wisdom exists specifically with our President, is his willingness to make our country a safer place, through the counsel of those around him. This latest decision to act independent of counsel may not reveal a lot of things about him, but it certainly speaks to the lack of wisdom in his life, and furthermore the condition of our nation under his leadership. May God extend His super abounding grace toward our blessed nation, and may He deal in justice with our President, to form in him a heart of wisdom, or bring to this country, not a perfect President, but a wise one!
