Last nights Mini Mart Reunion was a dream come true for me...a validation that the sounds of 80s NYC reggae that I love was, in fact, ahead of its time and sounds as vital and important now as it did then. Big up to the whole a the massive who came to the place and celebrated with equal love, manners and respect for all the old Mini Mart heads and new crowd who were discovering Mini Mart for the first time. And big blessings to all the selectors who warmed the crowd up lovely JonnyGo Figure, Kazuo Okamoto, JD, Queen Majesty-- and big up all the artists who came to entertain in pure style: Errol Benjamin, Curry Don, Sleepy D Wonder , Screechy Dan, #Shinehead, #bobogeneral, #jangothriller, #MarshallOne, Willow Wilson.
