Woh dil mein aate hai, samajh mein nahi has become synonymous with all Salman Khan starrers:)....No Brainer, illogical, over the top, shamelessly silly, screams most of the reviews, but who wants to understand when the film has its heart in the right place, where the Hero is like a messiah who fights goons to protect the ladies, robs the rich, to put a smile on young, innocent faces. Be it the stunning locales of Warsaw, the mind blowing action & stunts, the longest chase sequence ever in any Bollywood film & of course & the now famous jaw dropping train scene, Kick does manage to give you an adrenaline rush at regular intervals! But the one scene that gave me the biggest kick was when the hero, before unleashing his wrath on the perpetrators, beats up the mute spectators of crime, a much needed lesson for this spineless, selfish bunch of our society. Salman Khan oozes style, charm & charisma as he romances the silver screen along with the beautiful & very sensuous Jacqueline Fernandez, who by the way dances like a dream! The superb supporting cast also works well for this flick. Mithun Chakraborty, Archana Puran Singh & Saurabh Shukla are superlative & show excellent comic timing. The intense & brilliant Randeep Hooda impresses as the tough super cop & shares a great chemistry with the super hero, as they play their thrilling cat & mice game, but the show stealer is none other than Nawazuddin Siddiqui , one of the finest actors of our times, who effortlessly ups the bar of the mainstream Bollywood villain & leaves you spellbound in his confrontation scene with the lead actor, easily making it one of the biggest high points of the film. Some really nice tunes are also served, modern & peppy, that blends well with the film, be it the lyrical Hangover, the soulful Tu hi tu or the pacey, Yaar na Mile but the clear winner for me was the fun, catchy & upbeat, Jumme ki Raat! An endearing film with a social message & an out & out kickass entertainer...isn’t that what one expects from Salman Khan?...His Kick is well worth a dekko! :)
