Woke up this morning feeling so excited and refreshed! Ever since we were dating, David and I have had some of our best conversations driving in the car, usually at night. Last night, the boys were asleep on the way home from Livermore, and David and I reconnected in a way that we havent in a while because of lifes craziness. Maybe a little personal to share, but I feel like other couples could possibly read this and be needing the same things.... I LOVE that my husband initiated, completely on his own, a mandate that we will go on a date night once a week, every week. HE wants that for us and outlined all the reasons that its so important, not just for our marriage, but for our boys, too. He also took the lead with our ongoing desire to find a home church like we both used to have, and attend regularly, not sporadically. We pray together regularly as a family, we talk about God, and we have Carter attending a Christian preschool, but we want to make it a priority to be at church every week, not just occasionally when its convenient. Im so thankful for my husband as a leader and partner, Im so excited for all the things in store for our family, and Im just so very grateful to be where we are. God is so good, and He is doing some amazing things in our marriage and family. Our marriage and our lives are far from perfect, and we are excited to grow. Blessed!
