Woke up, this morning, thinking of my Sands, all twevle of them--The Mean 13--and this one, particular song. Heres the story behind the song; We were college kids, cocky and confident that the next 9 weeks would be a cake walk because we were 13 strong and I mean strong. With 3 football players, from the school team, a couple of poets, a couple of book worms, a life saver (no bs, this bruh save lifes for real..) and everyone knew how to drink and drink hard. What we didnt fully know was (Fleetwood) that the next 13 weeks would be the wildest 13 weeks of our lives. We were pledging Omega Psi Phi and our line brother, blood brother, Nuff thought it would be fun if we learned this song--he fore saw something that we didnt--You dont want me to name them, the list would be too long--it was a few nights of living hell. This morning dedication, goes out to my brothers, those that Crossed the Burning Sands with me and our support system that let us crash so many times (u know who we talking about.)
