Woke up this morning to some shocking news. Our brother Derrick Terrell Trimble has transitioned. Derrick was a kind man with a good heart that loved Jackson and had a passion for teaching children. And he was a VERY good teacher. When I opened my eyes this morning I did not expect to see this. I did not anticipate that the last time I saw Derrick would be the last time Id see him. At one time He was my co-worker, a friend, and someone who I knew to be as a fighter for what was right... He was my age and so it is difficult to totally wrap my mind around this. I am Praying for his family and friends ... We will honor the legacy of Derrick Terrell Trimble through our service to the community and the way we show our love for Jackson and the People of Jackson. He never hesitated to help when he could... And I think we honor his memory by being committed to selflessness in that same way. My eyes are full with tears because I do not understand... But my heart is full of faith that our brother is home. Its hard to even imagine right now... But we will remember and honor you, my brother. Peace until we meet again.
